Suzanne Ghee is an award-winning community health leader with 20 years of healthcare and nonprofit experience. Before becoming an entrepreneur, she was head of Community Health Engagement at Virtua Health System where she created many groundbreaking programs that addressed the social determinants of health. Prior to Virtua, Ms. Ghee also held roles at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Office of Government Affairs and Community Relations and at the American College of Physicians.
During her career, Ms. Ghee has worked to advance mission through purposeful advocacy, policy and social impact. In 2018, she was named Community Advocate of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) South Jersey and is also the recipient of a National Innovation Award by the American Heart Association (AHA) for her work in creating and launching the Virtua Mobile Farmers Market program, the largest of its kind in the country.
She holds a bachelor of arts degree in Communications from Temple University and a master of science degree in Public Administration concentrating in Health Policy from Widener University. Ms. Ghee also earned graduate certificates in Strategic Management and ESG Advising from Columbia Business School.
Ms. Ghee is Chair of the Cherry Hill Free Clinic and serves on the Board of Trustees to the Food Bank of South Jersey.
A Philadelphia native, Suzanne now resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her husband Damien and two daughters.

Meet The Team
Valeria Galarza, VP of Public Health Innovation: Valeria is an award winning public health expert who has dedicated her life to nonprofit causes. She is a champion of health equity work and has over 20 years of experience in nonprofit and healthcare. Most notably, Valeria is known for her work in helping with the efforts of the rising in Camden City, New Jersey through public health placemaking programs. She has held leadership positions with YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties, Cooper’s Ferry Partnership and has worked also with the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Collaborative and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Valeria has been credited for starting “Get Healthy Camden,” a collaboration of multi-sector partners seeking to advance policy, systems and environmental changes to foster a healthier City.
Valeria has worked on the ecosystem of social determinants of health including food access, open spaces for physical activity, workforce development and advancing school wellness. She is a certified Coach to the NJ Healthy Communities Network, and routinely provides technical assistance to communities that have started similar initiatives. Fluent in Spanish, Valeria holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health from Rutgers University and a Master of Science Degree in Public Health from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Amy Mescia, Graphic Designer and Storyteller: Amy is the creative visionary behind several national health systems work. She is regarded as a healthcare expert in the field of design and branding and has over 19 years of experience. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Design from Kutztown University.
Maribel Maldonado, Project Manager: Maribel is a seasoned healthcare and legal professional who has over 30 years of experience. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rowan University in Business Administration and a Certificate in Project Management from Rutgers University. Maribel is fluent in Spanish and has worked on many community facing outreach initiatives including special events. Maribel is very passionate about addressing unmet health needs particularly in Latino communities.
